Our friends at the South Carolina Department of Revenue (SCDOR) have issued Information Letter 23-1 on January 19, 2023. This Information Letter announces beginning March 1, 2023, Berkeley County will impose a 1% education capital improvements tax. In addition, beginning May 1, 2023, Beaufort County imposes a county green space tax.
